Hi guys whats the deal with these? See lots of them for sale on ebay , they look ok but for the price i take it they are just a waste of time? I mean the box and the anodising looks good but ive looked through the threads on here and the fact nobody mentions them is probably all the info i need lol

Anything Chinese made gives me the willies.

Found this on JBS shocks on https://kzrider.com/forum_test/5-chassis/598118-heard-of-jbs-shocks
QuoteA friend of mine does a lot of business in China. He contracts the build of various products for distribution and/or use in the states. He came back from one of his trips a while back with a couple sets of shocks like those. Springs were not installed. I took the shocks and checked the stroke smoothness and damping and there were spots in the travel where their was no damping. Apparently the sealing rings were not sealing through the full stroke. I don't know if they would break in or what, but I suspect no.

There are guys around that purchase those shocks and then tear them down and finesse the various internal parts to get them to perform properly. I suspect if the shocks had consistent damping they would be okay, but this is just a supposition on my part.

A mate of mine bought a set for his off road buggy and they were trash !!  basically one would damp on compression but there was no return damping and the other was the opposite  :confused1: , that might work for a bike but on a buggy on seeprate axles its rubbish !
i intend to live for ever or die trying !!
