Just look at the price of a Yam FS1E's now..
They were changing hands when I was at school for £100-150...You wouldn't get a ratty one now for less than £2k

Yeah, my FS1E cost me 50 quid from the bloke across the road, then 200 quid on an rd200, onto a new 250LC after blind arse in a car knocked me of the 200, bought the 250LC with the payout, where are you now XFM23W?? Is Dugdales at Alvanley? still going?

Then onto a 350LC, Early KH400, CB250RS, GS550 and then the GS1000 after a working holiday to Oz for 3 and 1/2 years..

Sounds cool, Seth . I  did the Koni's thing, tapered head bearings and a micron fork brace on mine, made a big difference.. Didn't touch the motor tho.. :)

A mate had a GS1000 engined Harris Magnum too, that was so nice..

Kawasaki has redone the Z900. I wonder , Cmon suzuki, an updated GS1000 would be cool...

A re done GS1000 would be brilliant, but only if they did it properly!

seth

we have the best redone gs1000 in the gsx1400
just wish they'd give us a newer proper muscle bike with a big motor, twin shocks and a big tank
but upside down forks, radial calipers and a none bendy frame .

only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

Agree 100% re the 1400, I thought the GSX1000S thing may have been more retro looking but I guess yah can't please everyone... Not sure i like them, no doubt a great bike but the styling isn't for me.. personal choice an all that, here's my current 1400 anyways.  :worshippy:

1400z, beautiful bike, same as mine, k7. all the suzuki ive had were brilliant. first was 1968 250 hustler, 6 speed , rev all day. 4 gt750, my l model i ported, built expansion chambers, just a rocket, wish id dynoed it. had a 550, great bike. gs1000g, loved it, marzocki suspension both ends, custom made 4 into 2, sounded unreal,  could easily do 1000ks in a day. gsx1100, just awesome trouble free weapon.lots more power than gs but used way less fuel. 14 is a combination of all those bikes. far better, just ride n smile when i get home. i did tonight. 3 grandkids up on fence giving the thumbs up, does life get better. not for me.

Ive always had a soft spot for suzi's and ive had well over 100 bikes in my time and i would say 60% of them were suzi's  for me they just have somethink a bit differant from the other big 3 .
