I have watched some excellent "How to's" on the web on replacing wheel bearings..
I am quite sure that I could have managed it.. I even have a 36mm deep impact socket thats a perfect fit into the bearing hole in the wheel for tapping the bearing home, but I just lack the confidence..
I think the part that worries me a bit is leaving that tiny clearance (from the spacer) when installing the 2nd bearing.. How do you know how much clearance is just right?
What happens if you tap in the bearing a bit too much and there is no clearance?
How would you withdraw the bearing a bit WITHOUT putting pressure on the inner race thus knackering the bearing?
You can see why I just hesitate to mess with it..
I am quite sure most of you guys would have done your own, but some of you have fantastic workshops / sheds.. I do not !

Anyway the bearings and tyres will be fitted this Friday morning.

I shall post another photo or two once the wheels are back on the bike..
