I am vertically challenged, snow white is my best friend - arthutitis is creeping into my joints so because the 1400 is heavy I need to be able to make the ground a little nearer - lowered the seat but not enough.
Spoke to Hagons and this is what they suggested -

If standard as far as I'm aware the tyre touches when the shock mounts are 230mm apart, so allowing a safe clearance of 10mm making the compressed maximum length 240mm.
This means if you add 80mm of shock travel 320mm is the shortest shock that can be used without having to take away travel. (330mm being standard)
The maximum I would use is 300mm eye to eye with the stroke restricted to 60mm which is a good compromise.
so sell my K5 shocks with 6k on them with adjusters working ( how much ? )
comments appreciated  :smile2:

Hi Notty,

I had the Hagon Nitros on my Honda CB1300..
Very well made shocks.. Mine were all stainless steel, including the springs..
I don't think you will be disappointed with them.

The service you get from Hagon is nothing short of amazing. I love dealing with them as it restores my faith in humanity.
So if i do stuff all all day and noone sees me do it.. Am i still a lazy git?

@Notty
Do you still have those Nitros and if you have, are you satisfied? I am also short legged and might want to lower the back of my bike.
