Hi to all on here..
I am new to this forum but I hope to be the proud owner of a 2005 GSX 1400 sometime next week.
The bike I have seen has done 25,000 miles.. On this motor I have been informed that they are "loosening up nicely" at that mileage..
I must say I do like the unusual colour scheme of this bike..
My current bike is a Yamaha MT-01 which I have arranged to part exchange..
Previous bikes were 2 Honda CB1300, Yamaha FJR1300 and some Ahem BMW 1200 GS bikes.

No doubt I shall be a regular visitor on this site so I look forwards to chat / banter with you all...

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Welcome - that's a very nice tidy K5 for 25K miles, it's clearly been well looked after, great find and buy!!!

Plenty of knowledge on here about the 14, what we don't know isn't worth knowing, so any problems or questions - just ask!
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Hi All..
I am now an official owner of the bike in the photo..
Tuesday was a lovely sunny day in Lancashire..
However I picked her up on Wednesday and it peed down (Typical)
The rain did not dampen my spirits at all. In fact it was a good chance to see just what a forgiving beast the 14 is in wet weather (when ridden appropriately).
I must say I am so very impressed with how tractable this engine is...
Personally I do NOT like 6 gears on a bike with this much torque!!
I would prefer 5 gears with wider spacing, but thats just my own personal opinion...

Good on ya Speedy, now you get to clean it since it rained on the way home.

Nice bike Speedy. You will get used to the 6 gears. From under 3000 rpm in 6th to blurred vision.....no need to change gear !!  :onya:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
