great idea
as most new folk here ask the same thing may a
F.A.Q. section with links to the correct threads so they can look before they ask the same old questions .
so at least they can see other discussions before asking a new question.

The idea has some merit, though i notice that asking a question is often how some members introduce themselves and in doing so making the forum all the richer for their involvement.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Agree with Kiwifruit. One of the reasons I like this forum because even frequent questions from new folks are answered in a very supportive way. This here is a very nice community, appreciate you lots  :onya:

Also: Someone has to put up the FAQs and maintain them.

gsxbarmy

I thought we already had something like this.....called ask Barmy  :happy1: :happy1:

Actually on a more serious note its not a bad idea, however, I think since this forum was established we already have most, if not all of the major questions "stickied" such that we can point new instances at them - with perhaps the exception of "which is the best oil" and "which are the best tyres" (I don't mind that one so much as new tyres come out so it's almost a refresh when it does get asked.

A question for @VladTepes  methinks
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Kiwifruit

Do they have an ask Barmy thread on the Trumpet forum yet ?  :whistling:

It can be just like a big roulette wheel,
you never know what the next thread will be but the chances are...

Screens, cans, TRE, Pod Filters, tyres, brake callipers,
can I fix my shocks,
how do I convert 1 can to 2 ?,
will I go faster with a crank case breather?
What do PAIR's do ?
or something Yoshi cams / Jack up kit related.
.

Can someone tell me what is the best oil & which tyre's i should put on my bike  :stir: :jack: :rofl2:

Mick_J

I like the idea but being a lazy git I would just ask the question anyway  :whistling:
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Andre

Make a FAQ section with nothing but a link to the search function and instructions how to use it.  :whistling:

But, mineral, semi or full synthetic Col  :happy1:

KiwiCol

Well, I've actually found it's best to get used mineral 30/40 from a tractor that's just done 20,000 hrs on it.  Still plenty of life left in it after that & it's soooo cheap!  Ya have a bit of trouble finding it, so it's gotta be real popular.

Do I fill it right up to the top or leave a bit of room for expansion ??
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
