Last week I bought my first ever Suzuki in the form of a GSX1400 K5.
Took it for its first ride a few days ago.....all of 12 miles, but as I'm now 60 years old and it was the first time I'd ridden a bike for 37 years I was quite chuffed we got back in one piece.
Anyway, wish me luck for my future adventures!

Hi Ian, welcome to the club.     

12 miles aye, well good on you for taking it easy and getting yourself back into riding again after a substantial break.  Some things you never forget, but there's always plenty to learn too.  The 14 is a great all round bike, be gentle with it & it's easy to manage, don't be tempted to 'give her some' too early on, get the feeling of her first & gradually build up to giving her a push.
They (as a rule) don't have any bad manners when pushed though.  Stay within your own comfort level & I'm sure you both will have many happy miles together.
