Took one of these out yesterday for a spin, a fantastic bike but at the same time not for me (preferred the Ducati).  The handling and braking was very good, engine vibrated rather than rocked like the Ducati, the gearbox was lovely but the quick shifter was so bloody awful I had to stop and deactivate it.  It was too sensitive, as soon as I got ready for a change it cut the ignition for ages which made every change jerky, once disabled it was much better smoother and faster.  The seat was very hard and the bars too close, so although quite tall it has been built for the vertically incompetent, wife thought it felt like a trail bike with 17"wheels and did not like it at all.  All the power is up high in the rev range which made it feel quite underwhelming until you give it some, which is not my style, I am not a fan of revs.  So the search goes on just one bike left to try on my shortlist.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Yeah you really need to rev the shit out of those things to make them sings, I reckon.
Very - the opposite of a 1400.

Is it a Speed Triple?
My thoughts were similar on the duke.

You really need to try one of the new Explorer's, Ok so I own one so maybe I'm biased, but that aside, they kick the shit out of Ducati's, KTM's and sportsbikes, especially through twisties, the new electronic suspension on them is leading edge, plus you can set them up for how YOU want to ride one. Borrow an XRT and go out in Sports Mode, and you'll see what I mean. I dare any sportsbike to try to beat one through a corner. The Trumpet will stomp all over it.

And not too shabby with 137bhp on tap either....
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I'd get one Dave, but I have Mikes' issue, no room & no cash!!

The main reason I'm getting rid of the TS is I can't do fairings, way too young just yet, so the explorer has no chance.
