No personal experience, but my father has had his done.
He's in his "senior" years and was soon back to work, he's a farmer.

He hasn't ridden much since he had his Triumph Tiger Cub (new) but you wouldn't bet him he couldn't !

Thats nice news Tony. Its great to see our fathers mobile and doing things they couldnt before surgery.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

My now 84 yo Dad had a hip replacement a few years ago after op he dropped 4 shots off his golf handicap because he wasn't in any pain. All done under private health care around $25k Aus was the final bill the bloody joint was half of that. Doctor asked him to use a cart at golf so he didn't wear out the joint too quickly  :rofl3:

I had my knee done 2 weeks ago and the way it's feeling at the moment I can't see me on a bike again this year, which is a bit awkward as I'm due to ride to the IOM in September.
I know everyone heals at a different rate but after going to physio last week I seem to have taken a step back.
Going again this Thursday so will see what happens.
People that have had it done rave about how good it is, so fingers crossed it loosens up soon.
Aparently hips are a doddle.

Red Biker

Good luck Steve, if it works as well as ceramic dics you'll be better, faster, stronger than before  :onya:

Cheers

Surgery on the wrong side did happen to me. Done by the chief surgeon/medical director of a hospital in Switzerland.

Sorry Froudy, but shit happens. May your guardian angel be more attentive than mine.

Had some eye stuff done recently. The specialist says to me" which eye are we doing?" I  say the left one. They say which is your lerft eye?  I say this one, pointing to my left eye.......they stick a piece of tape on the left side of my face !!

Didnt make me feel very confident if they dont even know their left from their right.  :whatever:

Kiwifruit, they would certainly get a big vote of confidence from me. They did it exactly right!  :onya: :onya: :onya:

Have to say Andre there were two of them in the room with them both checking off with each other what was being done. They were very professional even though i make light of the way its done, as you say they did it 100% correct. I am grateful for their skill.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
