Took one of these out for a dem on Wednesday.  I thought it was a great little bike, strong willing engine, good handling, fantastic brakes and great looking but it's very small, be good for the vertically challenged (short arses for the non PC members  :stir:  )  We had only gone a short distance before I realised just how small it is (especially 2 up) but I wanted to give it a blast.  When we stopped to talk about it my wife said you go back on your own and come back on our bike to collect her on the 14, I said no.  Dealer said we should try the tracer, so next week we will be going back to try that instead.  Anyone looking for a great little bike should give the MT09 a try, I wish manufacturers would make big bikes, or bikes for tall people.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

And I wish they would make lower more powerful bikes as had to ride cruisers for years as short legs !!  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was

A guy I know makes turbo kits for the MT09.  He's sold a few.
They end up as 200+hp.
They go OK then, just let down by the stock suspension.

This is one of Ben's builds / kits....

This one belongs to a local guy, Paul. The turbo is under the front
of the swing arm. It works quite well.

I have the MT-09, well, the wife does and the seat height is higher than the 14.. Stock 14 height anyway. its 780mm.
I love the 09 its an amazing machine. It isnt a 2 up bike though. As for the shit susspention, they have fixed that with the 2017 model they have also added a quickshifter as standard amongst other little rifinements. In fact the 2k17 model is so much better we are about to swap our 15 model in.

As for the 10... Well, i took it for a spin.. loved it, fast, responsive and fun doesnt even begin to explain it... However if i was buying now, i would still buy the 09. The 10 just wants to go ALL the time, its no good for commuting and such.. If you have spare cash though and want a weekend monster, then the 10 is for you.
So if i do stuff all all day and noone sees me do it.. Am i still a lazy git?
