Welcome matey.
I too am looking for a deal to move from my Busa to a 14, I have done a little chasing but nothing as yet, I would be interested to know if you traded what kind of deal you got?
Cheers !

WOW! £4 to 4,5k Busa plus 1600 for a 04 GSX14!  Perhaps I am being unrealistic with my expectation as I am looking for a deal much closer, for me an 04 Busa for an 04 GSX with both of similar standard would need to be a straight swap or very. very close,

Hey Bob,
Let us know how the throttle issue goes!
I picked my 14 up from Cookestown Belfast, so it has green roots!

Hey and welcome!!

I havn't owned a hayabusa, but i've ridden one. Didn't like it in comparison to the 14, but then again, i've never liked sports types. Upright + naked all the way!

EDIT: And well done on the colour choice. The fastest version of the 14 that is!  :stir:

Hard to compare a 14 to a Busa other than personal taste,
they both win / fail in different areas. Both great bikes.

One thing to remember when trading between them is, when the 1400 ended
production the Busa didn't. It got better in some ways. Bigger motor, brakes that work, different engine modes, etc etc. I love Gen-1 Busa's but they are an old model that's been superseded. There are an awful lot of Gen-1 Busa's built between 99 and 07 and there's a newer model available. Not true for the GSX1400.

The Gen-1 is a cult bike and a performance junkies choice of fix though.

Edit: Not sure about the UK / Ireland, but a quick look at one AU bike sale's site shows 91 Hayabusa's for sale, and only 19 GSX1400's.

I had two Hayabusa's together, I'm a big fan.
I know what you mean about the riding position.
I was doing anything from 500 up to 1,200 mile weekends and ending in agony.
One got traded in against a B-King.
The other one now has a top yoke conversion and Renthal bars.
