Cool this morning, so thought I would take the fully faired bike out, the Pan Euro. Doing my usual irish back roads was getting into it. Then over a rise we decided to get airborne, all was good and a nice landing then a rather large change in exhaust note.

Must have been a fairly heavy landing for the ST.  Least it's in an easily accessible spot & a man of your talents will be able to fix that up with a bit of braising in short order.   :onya:

You could get all carried away & re-sculpt that end of the link pipe arrangement, but it's probably not necessary really.

Anything that lands with me on it is going to be heavy. No braising gear but a chance to use my recently purchased tig/mig/mma welder from Lidl (Aldi).
If that doesn't work I have an expert on hand. It's a weird manifold looks so restrictive but it seems to work.

Hooli

ST1300?

From memory that area looked different on the ST1100 I had. I can confirm a ST1100 shouldn't get lots of air over a humpbacked bridge with a 20kg sack of dogfood riding pillion as they land very nose high...

Irish in Oz

ST1100, but it could be different as the headers and collector box where changed by previous owner.

Hooli

I don't remember a collector box, just a Y-piece. Mine was the original pipes but rather rotten.

Notty

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
