No snow Col it's been probably the mildest winter and very dry. So I'm expecting a wet summer. I've started a new job and been riding to work leaving home at 4:15am Monday to Friday. It's not been unbelievably cold at all.

No traffic out here.
5am on the day of the Dawn Service is the only time I've seen a queue of cars in 2 years.
No roundabouts or traffic lights either.
There is a local cop, he normally gives me a wave in a morning.

Lots of downsides to living more rural, but the roads and traffic isn't one of them.

We tried a new venue today at Belli Creek called Mrs. Browns Diner the food was very flavourful, service was excellent. I didn't have coffee but my fellow riders said they enjoyed it. Reasonably priced as well considering how good the food was.
