No big
rides today.  Too much to do.

14 has its new battery, new voltage display USB plug and its Chinese cheap levers, and I have some new gloves, so I used it to run some errands this morning. Everything seems fine.

260K's / 160 miles this morning.
Sports mode, full boost, quick shifter on,
starting riding a gear lower and keeping the rev's / boost up.

It go's OK.

249 miles covered since last year and as always passed with flying colours :imrgreen:
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

I did 400kms on Sunday morning through some of the best country - Border Ranges in northern NSW - a lot of it was dirt/gravel but geez you miss a lot if you don't ride some of these roads - most of these roads I probably could have done on my old 1400 too!

GSXKING

Was not far from there today but driving this DAF not riding unfortunately Beaker

Really beautiful and I'm so jealous, here where I live it's hard to find a road without seeing other people every minute, let alone a gravel/dirt road allowed for vehicles!

Donaello, yeah guess were lucky. We have a choice of roads where no people. I built my house 27yrs ago at gateway to some nice roads. Sometimes on weekends the bikes going past drive us crazy, most times i love to hear them. I often play a guessing game, which brand is that.

Took today & tomorrow of work at the last minute as the winter weather was so good and jumped on the bike for an overnight solo trip & gave my new front tyre a good 480km test today. Will give it another good test on the way home tomorrow. Very impressed with the Michelin road 5's (will do a small review  on them tomorrow sometime)
Beautiful clear skies, but still quite cool (no screen or hand guards) and great country roads with no traffic  :boogie:

Looks like the weather we are experiencing at present, and it was 27 deg today. We could sure do with some rain, I'm not complaining though.  :riding: :riding:

@Hooli I've had a look & found Porters Pass is an average of 16%, some steeper bits towards the top but it's nothing compared to Hardknot.
The 'steepest street in the world' (Probably the steepest residential St) is here in Dunedin, it's called Baldwin St, & it has a gradient of 1:3.41 (up to 35%), it's hard enough walking up that thing & you guys have a whole hill of the same!
Agreed, you wouldn't even think of getting off in the steep bits for a pic, the bike would fall down the hill!  A challenging ride for sure.
Not any more  ;)

Today we went to beautiful Finnish Archipelago for "ten o'clock coffee." Nice weather, nice view but crowded roads on weekends. GSX1400, R1 and Hornet 900:
