We, (Mrs Kiwicol & I) had an most enjoyable meeting last night with the Elephant Tamer from W.A. & his lovely family.  Couple of beers  & a nice meal at a local watering hole.  It was a pleasure to meet you all Owen, safe trip home Saturday mate.  :onya:

😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Well the Saturday flight turned to Sunday but I did make it home. Got to spend another day in NZ so can't complain.

Almost caught up with Kiwifruit (he was away watching motorcycle racing or something silly like that...) but he did give some excellent trip advice.

As seen I did catch up with KiwiCol though, a nice feed and thanks for the beers

Well I have to go away for work but the wife and baby are staying at home. So with week away in the big smoke and sunshine forecast every day the logical solution is to ride my bike around on company time.

It's also a good excuse to try out the panniers I got with the bike but what a mission installing them turned out to be! The panniers frames weren't too bad but the indicators needed relocating. Not sure if it's the factory location or the previous owner but the connectors were cable tied between the undertray and the rear light. Certainly out of harms way but let's just say I know how to pull the rear end apart now!

Anyway got them sorted and the end results was a spectacular couple of hundred k's ride up the coast to the hotel. Can't complain about that  :onya:

Riding your bike and getting paid for it......sounds like you have the perfect job.
Yep getting the pannier frames mounted is more than a 5 minute task. I had to make my indicator wiring longer too.
Did you get time and a half to ride home ?
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Nice Owen, you're lucky you've got sunshine over there, wet, overcast & dreary here - all week too.

Yeah I wish it was perfect! But since you're asking no I don't get overtime but they are paying for the fuel. And accommodation. And food. And im sitting on the balcony having a beer watching motorbikes cruise past. So I guess this week is about as perfect as work gets!

I think this will be our last batch of hot weather before winter sets in I had the fire going last week so won't be too far away. Not as cold as you blokes but cold enough.
Always remember, safety third.

Had the fire going tonight also ......l just think we are getting soft.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
