Thanks Batty, strangely enough just thinking on counter steering recently. Always thought i just lean into corner direction, never taken much notice before. After studying what i actually do, i always counter steer, just my natural way. Funny what you can learn about yourself.

Great, easy explanation.

When I was being taught to ride, the instructor (ex racer) talked about this and "dropping the shoulder" into the turn.  This makes you counter-terrorism as by dropping say right shoulder, you naturally pull up the left one.

Anyway, has always worked for me.

Another interesting point from  that video is the gyro effect from the front and rear wheels, this is why Yamaha makes their GP bikes engines run backwards, so that the gyro effect is balanced out making the bike easier to turn.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Me too, I never understood what everyone was on about until I realised that just came naturally to me. Also explains why I was crap and low speed turns (u-turns etc)  :)
