I have been trying to get a collector plate on the 2003 1400 here in BC but as it is now only 23 years old I have to wait another 2 years to meet the eligibility criteria. UNLESS!!!! Suzuki made less that 1500 of them. I think they made many more but does any one have the exact numbers that were produced?

Dealing with bureaucracy is no fun!!!
Cheers

I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

From the vin I have determined my. Ike was built in 2022 and is 1900 off the production run so I have to wait until next year to get a collector plate!

I think you mean built in 2002 Stan?

A 2022 GSX1400 would be very cool indeed.

My K3 is Dec 02 built and #427 or #100427.

I doubt there were over 100,000 built, and I haven't decoded the vin, so i don't exactly know what the '1' means, so I assume mines #427.

I also have to wait until 2028 to get a 'historic' plate and save on registration and insurance costs.  The limiting thing is though it then becomes a restricted use vehicle.  At the moment its fully registered and insured,  so I can just ride it whenever and not think about it.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Thinking about this now, if mine is #427 and built  in December, it would indicate that in a calendar year that the factory did indeed build less than 1500 units.

4500 registered in UK alone.

Are they talking 1900 of the GSX1400 model or of the specific variant you have Stan?  Is yours a K3?  Might be less than 1900 k3's built.
