So the ole girl is due another yearly check, had her booked in for a 1.30pm test, so figured I'd take her out for a bit of a run prior.  Checked tire pressures & back one was down to 18psi!  never seen it go like that, figured it has a nail or something in it, so checked, nope tire is fine & nail-less, so pump up & leave it at that.  I had it on battery charger overnight (just in case) & she spun over real quick, so happy with that too.
Off on the run out to Waimang, got myself settled & had some fun passing cars etc.  I remember the top gear roll on (or even 4th gear roll on) was always exhilarating & this time she was passing cars easily & I was laughing inside my helmet, just like the old days, but, I wasn't laughing because of the sheer acceleration, nope it was because of how slow it felt in comparison to my usual ride.  I'm not taking the piss here, I know the 14 is good at top gear roll on, but it isn't even on the same page as the R3GT. @grog you gotta get your hands on the newer version of the Rocket, I know you liked the gen 1, but Gen2 is really something else, even more so with the tune in it.

The GSX felt smooth & revved freely with a nice howl from the unbaffled Trioval & 140kph slipped by easily (unofficially that is) & it was nice to be riding it. I dropped her in for the check & am due to collect it in about an hour.  I reckon she will go through no issues, except those Forward Facing Position Indicating lights, but they're allowed.

Update:  No mention of the FFPI lights & she went straight through the check.

Can appreciate what youre saying Col but im staying as i am.I tend to ride slower nowadays, just ordered bar risers, went and drooled over rockets, 30g a fair investment.

Saw a few decent 2nd hand ones on bike sales for 22-28k AUD
