I was very upset when the bride made me sell my 96 Corolla hatchback if I was to buy a 3L diesel Hiace. I wanted a van so off went the corolla. My dear little $1000 car. I would have driven it until it stopped. Always been happy driving a shitter as you are allowed to bump my car with your $100k Merc.....and I'm always given a wide berth
:happy1:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

3 yrs later since Corolla praise. Still no need to update. Runs just as well now. 3 services in that time, no oil leaks, nothing replaced. Did get window tint replaced. This weekend is new cam belt, tensioner etc. New rocker gasket and plug seals. Parts cost less than $100. Sits out in Sun at work and golf, best car ive owned. Only prob is someone always needs to borrow it, their new cars in for repairs. Reckon im spoilt with it and 14 both being amazing machines.

Mmm MGC, I've always liked those. It's a proper sized engine the car deserves, bit like the V8 B.

Depreciation can be awesome.
I bought a 'top of the line' 1995 Range Rover Vogue LSE, in 2005 for $12,500.
Original retail was > $140,000.  Nice car that was, reliable too, but thirsty as fuck.
I miss that car though. She was a beaut, named her "The LuxoBarge''

Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

I hear you Vlad, I nearly bought a Range Rover V8 supercharged for 22k.  Similar they were like 150-160K new.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
