I'd go for a new on if can spare the cash .
Pc111 are around on eBay and the likes sometimes even here but not often.
I think the pcv is set every 250rpm where the pc111 is every 500rpm
Choice is yours I've ran a pc111 for many years with no problem except for it losing its map once but will be moving to a 1250 bandit pcv when it goes back on the road this time.
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

Close.

PCIII USB is every 250rpm, the older PCIII serial are every 500rpm. Be aware though you can't get the maps & software for the serial ones off the Power Commander website anymore.

I've got a copy of the software if you find out that old though.

A dyno is just a tool what helps you to adjust your engine. In most cases the dyno guy is also the tuner.
Only reliable way to use different dynos is to compare your dyno readings before and after some mod in the same dyno.
My first (and last) dyno run 3 years and 28 000 km  ago was 187 rwhp. Is it correct or not, I don't know and I don't care.
Much has changed after that, and bike runs better and better.. My "arse dyno" can prove it.

Electronics of PCV is the same, but connectors are different.

PCV from 1250 bandit suits, because fuel injectors connectors are the same. This model uses connection type, where PVC is connected inline with each fuel injector. PC3 and PCV made for gsx1400 have one big connector, which put PC inline between all fuel injectors and ECU.

Other difference is firmware, where different bikes have different max RPM in setup table. For 1250 bandit it's 12k, and for 1400 its 9-10k (may be wrong with actual numbers).
Also, because of different id's, fuel map from 1400 will not be accepted directly on 1250 PCV. There is a workaround and in general it's not a problem.

Busa connectors may be different, and I do not know what are busas max rpm.

More torque please!

Second hand a PC-3 is always going to be easier to find than a PC-5 as originally and for several years the 3 was the only one available, now only the 5 is available new from Powercommander.

I'm very happy with my dyno-mapped PC-3, I don't doubt that a 5 may be a bit better but it's not a real drama with a heavy low tech bike isn't exactly a GP lap holder !

Is there anything different between the one for the 1400 and the 1250? Wondering if there has been any modification to the wiring of the pcv?

Am about to buy a pcv from a guy that is for a 1250 just want to make sure before I do.

I've just looked on the Dynojet site & the part number is the same for our bikes and those blandits, so it should be identical.
