Well despite being 20 years old earlier in the month she passed her MOT this morning with flying colours, the tester commenting how well she looked and and the good condition and mechanical order she is in

Slightly worse note, I didn't feel great this afternoon and I thought I just had Sinusitus again but did a COVID test at home to be on the safe side (3 in fact) as a precaution as we were due out to a 60th wedding anniversary tonight with loads of elderly PPL, glad I did now as all three were positive despite me testing as negative three days ago! Have just got back from having a PCR test so fingers crossed for more positive news

Guys this thing has not gone away, and being double jabbed is not the end of it

Cheers

Bike does look a picture Pete, no wonder they passed comment on it  :worshippy:

Just curious, are you saying you have had two jabs yet still got Covid ?
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Yep, I think that's exactly what he's saying.  My understanding on this is, whilst you may get 2 jabs, you can still get Covid, just not as bad as you'r body already has some built up antigens to it.

The problem arises when the virus mutates into another strain & you're not much protected from that, a bit, but not as much as '19.  So, upshot of the jabs, you're less likely to die or get seriously sick from Covid.  You can still contract it & pass it on though.

Like I've said before Col l reckon both of us had it on our covid cruise but nobody would test us for anti-bodies.

100% correct & exactly how I am, just feel today like I have a bit of a summer head cold or sinusitus which has flu like symptoms and I seem to get at least once a year sadly - which to be fair I dare say it could be as I suspect that the lateral flow test done at home may detect a group of virus rather than just C-19

Fortunately we have a good PCR testing network around us and I managed to get in for a test within half an hour of starting the booking process online yesterday evening, so should get a result today or tomorrow at the latest. I hope to god it is a negative as I don't want to be off work all next week, it doesn't look good as I have only been in my new job for about a month and work in a reasonably small office with four others who may also fall victim to this bloody thing, of course if positive I may have caught it from one of them or even worse passed it on. I did a test at home last Wednesday morning as a matter of routine and was negative then

KiwiCol

Hope it's negative test for you.   We don't have any Covid home tests down under, never heard of them before.  Perhaps we'll get them in a year or so, we're always a bit behind the rest of the world down this way.

A whole bunch of us who went to a bike rally a few weeks ago got covid. Out of 8 who were ill with identical symptoms, only 5 tested positive. I'm not convinced on the usefulness of lateral flow tests at all.

It was shite, but no worse than flu. I've not been jabbed at all & won't get jabbed.

I sort of have the same feeling, my Mrs has similar symptoms (tho not as bad obviously) and her lateral flow test was negative yesterday but is going to do another today

Some of the rules are daft as well, if I do have it she does not now need to isolate as she is double jabbed - considering you can still get it being double jabbed that is stupid especially as she will be going back to work next week - in a high school of all places

PCR result back & it's positive, b@stard!

Still not feeling that bad though, have a bit of a temp, aching joints seems a bit better, Sniffiles and lost taste completely now but done the gardening this afternoon/evening and had a couple of cold ones, ready for an early night I think
