I use avons, they last well and the grip is fine and they don't cost the earth.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I'm running the st's and they are very good. They are the predecessor to the gt's
St - sports touring
Gt - grand touring
Like the others say a sports touring tyre is the way to go.

Used them on mine for years...seem to last well, grip good but there again I don't go wild on the bike, not often anyway!

I went from Metzler Z3 to ST's and have been with Angels since, and that is quite a few sets.

Hey mate,
I'm in Australia so not sure how the conversion will work for you but, I've been using BT016 Pro and love them.
Heaps of grip, great wet or dry, and although they're an old "technology" they are actually made using current materials. Ergo, the tyres are actually well suited to the GSX1400.
And over here, I can have a set fitted and balanced for AUD$470-or in simple language fcuking cheap.
Try them 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ended up going with the 023. Shall see how they are compared to the pilot road 5. Was going to get it fitted today but the weather decided it's going to rain. Dunno if I'll miss how good the pr5 feels or whether it's just some kind of placebo lol.
