So let's have a list of the cleaning products etc. we all keep. Also, please list a favourite products and why. I'll start it off 🙄😳🙄

So here are a few photos of my current stock of cleaning, lubing, dressing, leather treatment and polishing products . I have more arriving in the next couple of days. As always they are purchased for much less than retail price from a relatively well known auction site. Now I wouldn't say I have a cleaning obsession but I can definitely say my bike and car are at the very least quite well looked after😳😍🤗

Favourite product at the moment: Supagard tyre and trim dressing for the engine, picture says it all😎

Mine does not, but if caught in the rain I have a product to neutralize the effects or if not cover it in so many artificial products no one would give a shit

Looks like I'll need to take some pics of my 'collection'.
I'll have to organise it on something first as its spread all over the place in typical man shed style.

When I clean the Mazda3 it certainly comes up A1.
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

I only use three products - Solvol Autosol, nothing comes close on alloy; Gunk for keeping the chain lube fling at bay ( especially on my white wheels!); and for all paintwork I use Auto Glym High Resin Polish.

None of these products have ever let me down over the years, wheher used on my classics or daily rides  :onya:

New 'scientific discoveries' show that dressing posh & trying to act posh makes you immune from the plague.

There is no other logic to why horse racing like the St Ledger Festival is allowed, but the Farmyard Party has had to cancel.

Don't start me on cleaning and polishing - here's just 3 racks of the stuff I have and still use, including Menzerna, Meguairs, GTechniq, Mothers, 3M and a whole host of others as appropriate to the "job in hand". Add to that all the metal polishing mops and soaps I have as well. I would list it all out, but it would take me a while.

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I just knew there would others with the same affliction as me🤣 That is one hell of a stack of products you have there Barmy. I feel so much better knowing someone else is suffering from this addiction and in fact is actually in deeper than me. Respect ✊

Mate I'm sure its an affliction - at least I have something for everything! On your shelves though do consider adding some Menzerna products, they are so good being degrading cutting to polish so leave no swirls.

As with most products though - its not what you use, but how you apply / use it. I often use makeup pads for applying polish, gets just the right amount each time for a cracking finish

Never heard of Menzerna products before 😳 This is going to cost me dearly, how can I possibly resist purchasing all of these now 🤣😂🤣

Hi GSXBarmy,
Forgot to post about the Menzerna products you recommended. I got a bottle of the 3800 super finish plus. Then with a random orbital polisher I applied it to the tank of my old and tatty SRAD 750 to trial it. Used a very soft pad and set to around 3500 rpm. What a finish! Not only to the clear coat but to the decals as well. Every light scratch and swirl came out effortlessly. Further more it didn't touch the deeper scratches or marks which gave me confidence it was only very slightly abrasive.

So being happy with the test I tried it on the tank of my pride and joy Blue and White 14 K2 and couldn't be happier. Once cleaned up and having added numerous layers of Autoglym polish I doubt you could tell the difference now between a brand new tank and mine that's almost 20 years old. Not a single mark, scratch or swirl to be seen, just a stunning deep gloss finish.

Since then I have also used it on the plastic gloss side panels and the front mud guard with exactly the same results, bloody marvellous stuff.

Thanks ever so much Mate 😍🤗😍
