Interested in experiences with these. Can't have HID here so it is led or halogen headlight, and led or conventional globes for brakes indicator etc.

Anyone had any luck or stay away from stories?

There are several threads on led headlights .
Use the search and have a look .
@Stolichnaya did led indicators that do the sweep like some cars think they were plug and play
Others have used led tail lights again not massive problems have been noted .
It'll be good to have others feed back to see what's new and what has been fone that's working well and lasting as some cheap kit doesn't last very long .

@Shifty I have these fitted to my bike, the headlamp is for a land rover defender or jeep the led indicators are called flowing water all from fleabay, the only criticism I have is that the outer led ring failed due to vibration other than that the lamp is brilliant it lights up the road brilliantly, I have pics see attached.

I've done exactly the same - led headlight from Stedi.com.au, fantastic light, good spread and sooo much better than the factory bulb. Quality lamp unit too. Common upgrade for LR defenders, but also fits most mcycles with 7" headlights, I.e.Hardley Movingtons and other cruisers.

Re led indicators, I've also got the  "waterfall" type from eBay, cheapies, nice and bright and on flexible short stalks work fine, just needed the led flasher relay ($6 from Hong Kong) and the Suzuki wiring connectors to preserve the factory wiring.

Next is the tail light/brake light, haven't looked into details yet.

I've had no issues, lights work fine and less load on the battery and electrical system.  Looks good too.

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I fitted LED globe in parklight in headlight. Vibration killed it in 2 weeks. Standard globe goes for years. Thats reason ive never bothered with LED headlight. Have 2 H4 LED sitting in shed, should i try? I use +130 Halogen from Repco, work fine.

I like the normal light bulbs. Fit for my daylight only excursions. Last forever and I got this forum to help me if I ever need to change them: http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=4270.0

However, I like the lesser load on the system using LED.

That's the same ones I'm using Grog.  Work fine for me too, can see plenty for a bike.

Hi Col,
I fitted one of these to the standard housing 18 Months ago, still going strong, I like it, it's cheap if you have a 2nd bike or a mate.

I think they are marketed under name brands with a marked up price.

Cheers,
Rick
