We're in Kaikoura for the holidays, have the kids & grand kids coming after boxing day - going to be full on then.  Weather has been 'difficult' so far & we've not even put the boat in the water yet, let alone got any fish or crays.  Not looking very good for the next few days either, anyway, it is what it is, we'll be eating more steak than antisipated.  That's how it is with fishing in exposed coastal waters

I am easy to please(?) Only thing I want for x-mas is that the heating system get's fixed. 

Got my x-mas present Technician was here but couldn't fix it as he could'nt get the parts he thought were needed. He referred my landlord (my best friend) to the service of the manufacturer (appointment for December 28). My friend asked me to give it a go. All I did was taking the electronic board out and cleaned some contacts. Now it runs "like new". Something lots of us have experienced with our bikes; fixed my fast idle by cleaning the stupid contacts a couple times.

This year really doesn't feel like Xmas.

Only a couple of days off work, we aren't doing big gift buying, I dodged the works Xmas do's. It's turned into a long weekend with a pub lunch on Xmas day.

2018 has been a mixed year. A few up's and downs. Two great holidays but I've been ill a few times.

I'm really feeling positive about 2019.
I have a LOT of stuff planned but i'll be happy if I only get some of it done.
