I'll have the engine out on my 14 and wondering is there anything to look out for/ change while the big lug is out?
Any practical mods? :whatever:

Only things I can think of is remove and clean sump and oil pump pick up strainer.
Exhaust bolus if not already removed and refit with anti-seize comply when refitting .
Clean, check and paint front oil tubes (1"thick front part of the engine can only be changed with head off but are hard to get parts) to protect them.
I. Sure there is other stuff but it's all maintaince and preventative stuff.

Injector service?  Spray lube the adjuster screws on throttle bodies, make sure they're not stuck. Rip the pairs out & fit blanking plates?

Strip and clean fuel pump and filters.
If needed touch/up paint the front of the frame.

I thought the filters too, but figured with a new tank, he'd of done that already.

Thanks lads.
Sorry only getting back now.
Had f**k all time to go near the bike really.
Big bore, what's this involve?
Never actually touched the filter in the fuel pump, will find the thread for it here and give it a go.
Same with the pairs system.
I thought injector wouldn't need a service or anything ? Thought they were a part that either works or doesn't (cleaning them maybe?).

Getting the injectors serviced can make a massive difference company listed In the recommended suppliers section http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=95.0 .
before doing that you'll need to clean the fuel pump and teabag filters http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=430.0
And fuel lines .
