Just wondering, when you blokes ride, are you in the middle of bike. not me, i always seem to be left of centre. i can see my reflection in gauges, try to get centre but always end up left. any of you on right hand side? stupid post, maybe, shoot me down but am i the only one.

Try your wallet in the other pocket, might move you over to the right a bit.  :whistling:

Can't say I've really noticed Grog... but I'm pretty centred on the bike.  I'm not one to move across the saddle like a gp rider to get a lower centre of gravity either...

Tony Nitrous

I sit and feel centred.

I've had my share of bike and work injuries over the years, one thing I do notice, I like everything set up right, bars, levers, mirrors etc, but on long rides, over 600 / 650k's up to 1000 I can tell when I'm getting tired, The bars feel bent!  Towards to end of long rides the front end feels out of line, even though I know it's not. Next ride after a sleep it'll feel fine again.

Ive experienced it on more than one bike so I'm pretty sure it's me!

Mjgt, moving my wallet would just make me lighter on that side.

I sit pretty much along the Centre line of the bike and always have .
I was following a mate on his vstr om Honda a few years ago and noticed he was sitting on his left cheek I said to him when we stopped and he changed to sit in the middle on both cheeks.
He said he had always got back ache and once he changed he felt more comfortable and less back ache .
Posture is a big thing when riding bikes .

The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

KiwiCol

Grog, it's odd that you've brought this up, because I sometimes feel like I'm not centred on the bike.  Feel like I'm more to the right, try & shift to the left a bit & feels wrong.
The way I tell is let go of the bars & see which way I have to lean to keep it straight.  I should be able to let go & just sit where I am & the bike should stay straight, but it doesn't, I have to lean top half just left a bit or it wanders right.
Sometimes it annoys me, but mostly just go with it.

Ever dropped your bike? it can feel like that if the footpegs are a bit out of line, you'll tend to put your legs in the same position & that pushes you out of line. If that makes sense.

VladTepes

I feel centered, but now I'll be more aware of it... I'll be paranoid now if I find I'm off centre  :rofl2:
