I grow several sorts of chillies, from regular hot Birds Eye's up to nasty Carolina Reapers. The Carolina Reapers are good if you crush them and grind them a bit and drop them in a jar of pickled onions. After about a week you get "Weapon Grade" pickles!  I've tried eating Reapers but I think they'd rate somewhere on the scale between sucking on a live soldering iron, and anaesthetic, OK for cooking in moderation or giving to mate to "try this!"
