Well with the gorgeous weather I managed to actually get a ride out on satday  :boogie:

Although it did turn out to be a bit of an adventure.......first off I needed to take the bike for its mot at 9am. So in preparation I had my trickle charger on that I bought from barmy last year.....went to start it and totally dead! My fault for not having the battery on charge over winter really (I should of learnt from the previous winters battery issue  ). Anyway new yuasa battery purchased for £86 (could of got cheaper by ordering online but needed immediately for the test), and I'm good to go. Bike went straight through test.

So me and my wife set off for a gentle 35 mile ride through the Yorkshire country, heading past masham and leyburn way if anyone knows it.....the roads are stunning. The plan was to meet some friends at a reservoir and have a BBQ.  Anyways, 65 miles later and we still hadn't found them  :8: . Flipping Google maps had us going up farm tracks untill eventually we ended up in a field near enough with a big metal gate blocking our way

So we tried to contact them but due to being deep in the Yorkshire countryside we had zero phone reception. Left a few texts in the hope they may get through eventually. So we decided to go for a pub lunch somewhere. Off we go (again) and then the bike just cuts out!! Started up fine, rode off, then went to change gear and it stalled again. I start thinking maybe with it being laid up it's in need of a good service, or maybe it's the new carbon can co twin exhaust conversion I've done, or maybe I've wired in my new gear indicator wrong somehow????? Problem is your in the middle of no where with minimal tools. So I pull up and politely/calmly ask my wife to get off the bike and make herself comfy on the grass whilst I have a fiddle with the bike. Eventually I found the cause.......clutch switch! So I bypassed the switch so that the bike was rideable  (I have read doing this leaves the bike in a lower map setting but I needed to do something).

The bike seemed to perform great after that and the rest of the day was awesome!!! Today I took off the switch, gave it' a good clean up and the connections and reassembled, and all seemed great. Although it looks like it could be a sign of it potentially failing but we will see. New ones around  £12 so not guna break the bank.

Anyway........I STILL  :cheers:LOVE THIS BIKE  :smitten:

Awesome  :onya:

I made what my wife thought was "the most of the fine weather" and spent 6 hours with  pressure washer doing the concrete and driveway.

Looking good Gaz. Hope your problems sorted.
