My copy has gone missing over the years what with loosing a load of IT kit when i split with my ex etc.

It's no longer available off the power commander website either.

I need any map for a serial PC3 to get the software to connect so I can save mine off the bike. Can anyone help please?

Hooli

Doesn't matter I've found it.

Now just swearing at the USB to serial adapter that refuses to admit it's drivers are installed.

Hooli

Title changed...

Seems from reading google I need any map file for a serial PCIII to load into the software before it'll communicate with the bike properly, has anyone got one please?

I can only download USB maps from their website & they won't work on this version of the software.

I had them all ages ago but they've been lost :( now I can't connect to the PC3 without to backup the current map on it as my backups got lost too.

That's great cheers, I'll try them. Not sure they'll work though as I managed to find a map for some other twin & got the same error earlier.

I wonder if loading the first map sets the rpm range & other bits for the map table so it has to match the table on the PC3 to copy it over?

Andy, pm Spike, as i think he has a serial USB on his 14.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Hooli

Thanks Barmy but I've just found a backup copy of mine. Been attacking old broken computers & recovered a copy off one of them, I knew I never though anything away for a reason.

Panic over, thanks for all the ideas guys.

Now if only I could get the USB cable to install on this laptop....

Hooli

Useless info for all - I was right about the size of the map earlier.

Big twin maps only seem to go to 6k, 14 maps go to 10k rpm - hence the map on the bike was mismatched size wise to the map I had on the laptop earlier.

Good luck hooli
Hopefully it all works out soon sounds like your in the right path now .
