Delkevic 4:2 collector box.

Righto - quick question.

Has anyone fitted a Delkevic 4 into 2 collector box.

I have a right odd combination of exhaust components. OEM downpipes, SBS/Black widow collector box, and Beowulf link pipes/cans. I originally had a set of SBS/BW downpipes too. I did not like their look. So, stumped up for a set of OEM headers. So, now I have a nice set of headers and a bronze collector box. In all honesty - it jars my eyes.

I see Delkevic do a stainless collector box - but, it has the all important side covers plates.

1) Does all the box/side plates bronze? It's the side plates that I'm interested in.

2) Do the fit (without a mass struggle) OEM headers?

Failing that. I'll look out for a set of used immaculate OEM collector.

I changed from a SBS 4-2 header to a  Delkevic 4-2  collector. I'm very happy with the change, the side plates have kept their shine, I changed to Delkevic headers as well, they bronzed but not as quickly as the SBS headers.

They look a fair bit better IMO.

great product, pity no 4 into 1 box. my collector just looks terrible, ive tried to polish/clean. still looks brown/ dirty. hate it. those side plates to hide stuff, wish i could have. decided never getting rid of centrestand. sure limits exhaust choice. suffer i guess. maybe paint colector black, thinking about it.

I'm not sure about the RF website, I bought mine through ebay.com, even with shiping it was cheaper than the Oz supplier, It compared favourable with UK prices, Shipping is a killer for us down below, a little ironic that I could get them cheaper from the US when they don't sell the 14.

You could use picking paste on the collector to clean all the black off Grog, or get it chromed? or send it to Spizz.

Thanks - the set I was looking at came in at £149 posted in UK. Quite happy with that. So long at the side plates do not bronze.

Robinsons Foundry quoted £431 for the collector - and about £80 for each side cover...!

I have a SBS 4:2 fitted. I'll bin that. Go Delkevic and sling the SBS collector on eBay.

I used Harpic extra strong bleach (youtoob tip) to clean my sbs collector, came up a treat.

Cycic, ill give it a go, just happen to have some. cost me nothing to try. otherwise collector will get a coat of vht black.
