So been speaking to the guy who I use for Powder coating and he can now 'diamond cut' this means you can have 2 colour coated wheels!
see image below;

I'm thinking Black and metal would look luverly 

I've asked for a quote so will post that up when I get it tomorrow.

Just had the quote back @ £80 per wheel +vat
He's reccomending using a laquor over the uncoated metal to avoid the tlc that would require.
