Evening all,
I seem to recall reading something on the old org about someone making a mounting box for a PCIII or maybe a PCV that mounts under the right side infill panel and i'm sure they had the plans/diagrams/dimensions to make these.
I've spoken to my local engineering company and if I could lay my hands on these details, they should be able to fabricate me one. Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I've had a search but to no avail  ;)

Sure someone can help - would be interested in one myself !  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

well found del
thats the mounting plate for a pcv
the one for the pc111 fits the same place and us the same size but the plates to hold the unit need to be further apart as a pv111 is larger than a pcv
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

Cheers del, your a gent.

I think it was v_i_c_i 's bike build on the old org when I first saw the mounting box idea. I'll fire him a pm with regards the details.

I think a member called Kanerdog or maybe kanerdog1x1 used to make them.
Who ever it was they were very tidy units.
If it is the guy he had some work / job issues and isn't posting on the other forum I used to use either.

It is right. Original idea is place PC III under right panel is from Kanerdog. By the way, where he is? I just used his idea and made bracket for PC V and Autotune module under right panel. Can share drawings without problem. But PC III will not fit to this bracket, because is bigger
By the way, I work on second version of this bracket with small advantage....USB cable connected without taking PC V out from bracket.

If you could share drawing v_i_c_i, that would be great  :onya: I understand that the pcIII is bigger so I would have to make allowances for that but I'd at least have a starting point  :)

You have pm

Craig as an interim, if you are looking to mount the PCV under your RH side panel, if there are lugs same as on the PCIII's you can hang it upside down off the frame rail using electrical ties
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
