Nasty

Hello everyone,

My name is Nasty

I'm 62 years old, and motorcycles have been a lifelong passion of mine.

My main focus is the Suzuki GSX 1400.

I own several extensively customized bikes, built with attention to performance, engineering, and detail. I'm not interested in stock machines
I prefer character, torque, and individuality.

Over the years, I've spent countless hours in the workshop working on engine tuning, chassis setup, exhaust systems, and fine details that make the difference between a standard bike and a truly unique machine. For me, building a motorcycle is about precision, function, and personality.

I've been registered in this forum for some time and have followed many technical discussions with great interest.

My written English may not be perfect, but with a little help from modern technology and AI, I'm happy to take part in the conversation.

I look forward to exchanging knowledge, discussing setups, and sharing experiences with fellow enthusiasts.

Ride safe and keep the torque high.

Afternoon & welcome. What changes have you made to your 14 then?

I'm jealous of the roads you've got to play on too, living in the Alps is motorbike heaven in the summer.

Gidday Nasty, welcome to the forum.  You've been a member for a while, so you'll know we like pics, especially custom builds.  :onya:
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

G'day Nasty and you probably already understand this nuthouse.
I'm curious to also see some of your creations.
I'm not familiar with the roads Hooli speaks of. Is there a particular road i.e. Stelvio ?

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Hello again — and thanks to everyone.

By the way, the Alps are pretty much paradise for motorcyclists. Well... almost. Just not in Switzerland — and definitely not with our laws. Honestly, you'd rather be in hell. Trust me, you don't want to experience it. It's amazing how quickly you can go from enjoying a ride to being treated like a hardened criminal.

But hey, it has its upside — compared to speeding here, committing murder almost seems like a minor offense.

And don't get me started on the picture situation in this forum. It's a real nightmare — you can barely see anything. In my case, with two glass eyes, that makes it even more "fun." I'll first have to figure out how to make it work properly.

That one is overrated tbh. There's one that hangs off the side of it's that's better, Umbrail maybe?

Furka, Grimsel, Gotthard and Susten are some I can think of. I love riding over there, but tend to stop in other countries as it's so much cheaper.

If you click/tap on the pics they display full size when people have only added them as thumbnails.

For adding them there's a guide here - https://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=7530.0 the worst bit is shrinking them to fit, but windows does that now on W11. I forget exactly how but google would say. I use Pixresizer as you can do entire folders of pics at the same time without affecting the originals.

Or host them elsewhere like some users do & just link to here. I don't know what sites to suggest, I used to use photobucket but they shot themselves in the foot years ago by charging & lost almost all their customers.

Welcome to the forum Nasty.  :onya: When you work out how to post some pics it would be great to see some of your bikes.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Hello Chris

Switzerland is not big. From north to south it's almost exactly 300 km.
I'm right in the north on the border with Germany
and it's just under 70 km to Wallisellen.

I've heard Switzerland is nice but I think it's a bit... neutral :D

I've visited Switzerland many times,my friend from London moved there 35plus years ago.
We loaded his stuff into a Luton van and drove there and back in a weekend.

It's a lovely country aside from their "Swiss" ways they are nice people.

One interesting fact, HR Giger invented the original Alien in the film ,long ago. He has passed now but his legacy lives on in a museum in Grueyere.
Full of weird and wonderful work, some of which is very risqué.
