Fought my way to the front of a long que of traffic yesterday only to find it was an electric car broken down right in the middle of the carriageway.  The only thing that worked on it were the four way flashers, they could not push it out of the way and it stopped without warning so they could not steer it off the road, it just stopped.  Note to self, do not buy electric car.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Couple of years back when working. My job was Volvo electric. She did update, just same as phone update thing, after that whole car shutdown. I was called to help, roadside assistance. Multiple phone advice, multiple things tried, experts on phone helping, end result, still totally frozen. Volvo advised tow it to their service centre. Just one problem, charge cord wouldnt release from car, no overide, other end of cord hard wired to charger. $150g of crap in my opinion.

Aside from cars in general being lame, electric engines are amazingly quick off the line. Another decade of battery technology and they will most likely get lighter as well. I would pick up an electric bike tomorrow if I had the spare cash.
As for broken down cars blocking the lanes, I see that everyday with cars ploughing into each other on the freeway because nobody wants to leave a safe buffer to vehicle in front.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.
