grog seems way to cheap for a Shindengen. I ordered a chineseum one from Amazon just for troubleshooting and was worse than my impaired one, putting out 18v!! Going back. Here in Eurpoe ordered a Mosfet one from this guy, seems good to me: https://ultimaterectifier.com/shop/voltage-regulator-rectifier-suzuki-gsx1400-2001-2009/

just had a look at these units, they seem very well made.  I'm interested.

Eric,ive studied up on Shindengen, they seem to be the best. Prob is copied multiple times.Even Mick Hone part doesnt have pics to prove genuine. Must have 8 dots on top casting. Must have partnumber engraved on rear surface. Must have stainless plate on mounting surface.Too bloody difficult for me to know whats right or wrong. Have enjoyed the detective work, got me nowhere really.

Got a tourmax labeled reg/rec. Took label off - it had covered up markings identical to the oem. Same goes for other tourmax parts I got. Paid 60 € for this one. There was nothing wrong with the original but replaced it and have a spare now. My way to have a minter with over 80k km

My final take on tourmax: OEM - parts for comparable low price.

Just had a look at tourmax units.  76.78GBP delivered, so thats 153 AUD. Mick Hone quoted me 241aud delivered, so tourmax is a great price.   They quote the suzuku part no's too, which is great.

Feedback: installed the Ultimate Rectifier mosfet one and all is in spec. Time will tell if they are good, anyway has 3 years guarantee. Happy for now. Don´t know if it was my sensation but cold idle seems to be a slight higher. Once in a while had to adjust especially now in Winter.
