Hi guys, Can anyone tell me if the 14 has an OBD2 port fitted or if I can get something fitted to create one, I'm thinking about having a dyno tune locally and thought that It would need a port to get all the info for the f/a mix ect and maybe a new map added for better running. I'm not bothered about adding extra pony's just a well sorted bike as the bike has plenty of power as is. All info welcomed.

I think you need a PC 3 or 5 to be able to modify the setup on a dyno.  Could be wrong, (mrs says I'm always wrong) hmmm maybe I should ask her for ya . . .

No ODBII on these, they are too old. A Powe Commander, as said, is the normal way to tune them.

PC111 or PCV as Hooli mentions, plus Yoshimure Stage 1 camshafts..... :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:      is apparently the way to go.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Although you will need a bigger bore exhaust like a Yoshi or Akra to get the benefit from the cams, else no point in fitting the cams
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I have older vehicles with OBDII ports but they do have four wheels.

My 2001 Triumph Daytona has one but not the 2003 GSX1400. why not, I thought the japs were all about the techy stuff. :whatever:

have got the akrapovic 4 into1 full system and according to the paperwork that came with the bike its had an ecu remap, no details of what or how. Also running 17t front and 41t rear sprockets, and a K&N filter.

agreed, i could tune my 08 daytona 675 using an OBDii cable and some simple software on my laptop.  Cant do that on 1402 unless  youve got a PC.

You can tune the ECU directly on the 14. K2 and K3 are limited to the Healtech SIA which only provides rough, but oftentimes all you need, adjustments.

K4 and upwards IAP, TPS fuel maps as well as ignition maps can be remapped with Woolich Racing software and harness. Live engine data can also be viewed.

In the end you are limited by what your dyno tuner uses. Probably most of them do tuning with Power Commander.

Me too, but I think it was required on cars by market regulations long before it was required on bikes.

My 2000 speed triple uses the OBD II interface.

I may be wrong, but I think the OBD 11 is a US requirement and not mandatory in other markets and the 14 was initially a Japan only model being the reason it doesn't have one
