Sadly the video doesn't give any real sense of how steep the run down the 'mountain' is.

FF to 1:55 and watch from there onward if impatient.....:)

GoPro GHero2 mounted with a suction cup mount to tank.
Proved to be too unstable - lots of camera shake.
Video has been run through "deshaker" and also used YouTube's stabilization... still not ideal.

...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Mike I found the best mount for my GoPro was by fitting a RAM mount to the handlebars. The GoPro sticky mount into the flat headed plate at the end of the RAM mount gave it sufficient padding to stop the majority of shake, vibration etc and I used to get real stable footage.

The other option is to go for one of the extended mounts that clamp onto your bars, I've got one of those as well, so will post a picture up if interested. Basically it holds the camera just nicely above the top of the height of the clocks, again works well
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I've got one of those extended mounts that go on the bars & it works quite well, unfortunately, I had to mount the radar detector there (best place for it), so I moved to a reservoir mount which transmits sound through the mount to the camera & housing. Works OK as long as you don't want any sound recorded - which isn't altogether a bad thing I guess.

yeah grog  :) great part of the world.

As for t' others - most of them were either on faster bikes and/or were more fearless/stupid than me and/or there was no safe place to pass.  Such is life.  Still fun.
