Thanks for that useful diagram, gsx. It omits to say where the main 30A fuse is located, that is the one in use, rather than the spare which is shown. The indicated fuse box contains only 10 and 15 A fuses.

I ask because my GSX1400 K2 had zero response to the key despite a good battery. While searching for the main fuse I noticed the negative cable was disconnected form the battery so that was sorted quickly. Taken off to preserve the battery but I forgot.

I failed to find the main 30A fuse. Can you say where it is located in case anyone should need to check it in future?

It's under the left hand side panel, underneath the clear plastic blob on top of the starter relay, it's green and 30A (+ve  wire runs from battery to one side and to the starter motor from the other side).

Labelled as #3 in the diagram.

That diagram nicely explains why my bike kept blowing the 10amp fuel pump fuse!!
I @fixed@ the problem by fitting a 15amp fuse..
My bike hasnt caught fire nor blown up..
In fact it hasnt missed a beat since..

I agree, pump should only draw 4-6 amps but if it works, it works.

It's a 15A (not 10A) fuse that should be fitted for the ignition system (fuel pump and coils)!!

Thanks Barry.
The diagram says this 3 is the spare fuse hence my confusion.

The diagram says this 3 is the spare fuse hence my confusion.

The wording is very confusing possibly due to translation, what they actually mean is that the 30A fuse (pointed to by #3) also has a spare in the fuse box (pointed to by the arrow).

But at least you know now
