Hi all. Its sooooo long since i came on the website. Bikes been stored for a few years now, dont give me grief i know..  :cry2: Any way i have just started to go over a few things with the bike like brakes and levels and stuff. Started it today and it started to smoke from around the clutch housing. Ive not noticed any leaks from underneath the bike but the clutch was almost non existent, no pressure behind the lever at all, so i popped the cover off the reservoir and lo and behold .............. no fluid!! question is, if ive noticed no leaks where the fook has it gone? ???

Hooli

It'll have leaked out of the slave & mixed with the usual mess of chain lube & sludge around the front sprocket.

Mine has done that once randomly, rolled it out for work & no clutch. I popped the slave out, wiped the piston clean, bled it up & it's never done it again.

Thanks for that hooli. Ive ordered a Goodridge clutch cable to be sure as ive already got brake lines to match. I will pop the cover off tomorrow after work and delve deeper. Seems strange as its been stood for ages.

Cheers again.  :cheesy:

Agree with Hooli, I've had this happen randomly a few times over the years, as said a good clean and all is usually good again.

As for being stored for a few years, mine was at the back of the garage for seven years, in which time parts of the frame rusted away to nothing ... so if anyone deserves grief it's me  :bugga:

All the best ... Barry
Still alive ... just!!
