Does two throttles make it go twice as fast ? :)
That would be nice but the bike being blue/white is fast enough Michael.

Break-Away Cruise Control, have a look at those Snapey.

I've got one, easy to fit & a good piece of kit. I find it useful anyway.
They do look good Col but I'm balking at the cost. Doing shit like this gives an old retired toolmaker something to do anyway.

knowing nothing about your shoulder prob Snapey. i cant comment. have you tried acupuncture, i had a frogged hip , replacement they told me. acu. fixed it. just wondering.
Might be worth investigating grog although acupuncture was no help with my back.

@Snapey
I use one of these as I do a lot of motorway riding.I wouldn't be without one now.
Would it help your shoulder at all?

No good at all Froudy. My problem is the normal riding position. Just holding the handlebar is painful so at every opportunity I rest my right arm on my lap ... hence the need for the LH throttle. Unfortunately the straight bars are uncomfortable & need a kink so that's the next project.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Pete - sounds like you are having exactly the same issues which led to me getting rid of my 14 - I couldn't get a decent riding position (in my case it was actually causing damage to my back slowly but surely).

Might be the case of having to change bikes - an adventure type machine with its more upright position might be the way to go.

Wash your mouth out sir.  ;)

The bike is not the problem Dave but the position the arm sits when holding the bars. As an example ... I now use the computer mouse with my left hand because resting the right arm on the desk is painful.

The riding position is killing my left hip for some reason..The seat is too low and I'm cramped up on it :furious:
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

That's a few of us that get the left hip (mainly) seizing / cramping.  You, Me, think Grog too sometimes & Daveh just off the top of me head.

Wonder if we're all the same size build?  Prob not as I are a large unit, (mostly muscle though - yeah right)   I'm 1.95cm long & about 135 - 140Kg in full gear.

I find it worse when my legs are restricted from full movement, ie wearing full gear.

Wonder if we can fit highway pegs anywhere, that stretch out front always makes it feel better.

That was part of my problem as well Pete, I played with a whole load of different bars, heights and the suchlike, even going to the extreme of having custom risers made which I attached Renthal 758 Superlows to - this gave me a slightly higher position than the standard bars, but the pull back and just general comfort of the way those bars were made was better than standard, such that it alleviated 2 problems, one being the angle where the grips were (standard bars just put too mcuh pressure on my wrists), the other giving me a slightly more upright riding position, which again helped with the back, but also again took pressure off the wrists and forearms.

Not trying to - just saying what I did to mine to help alleviate similar issues I had. Everything I did improved the riding position which is the problem Pete seems to have at present.

Could be an age thing ?  ;)

On a more serious note; i fitted crash bungs that are convenient for a shirt while to stretching the legs

I've had this setup for years. Not much good as a foot rest but I clamped a bit on it to nest my leg when I had a bad knee.

That's stainless tube BTW, not solid.

That's the idea Snapey, I can get access to solid ss bar.  Just have it welded to a mounting plate.  My belly pan mounts to that same bolt, so I'd have to work the mounting plate to take that into consideration.

All good, being SS it'll shine up nice too.

Cheers mate.
