Way back i had Norton Commando 850. Always a pig to start, about 5 kicks if lucky, sometimes 10.On a hot day with bike gear on, nothing like it. Hated the bloody thing. Today went to shop, lovely black n gold 750 sitting there. Theyre harder to start than 850. Owner comes out, over 30 degrees today, all proper gear on👍Kick, kick, kick, kick, a few more really. Lost his balance, over it went against him. Of course i saved the day, we got it upright. Many thanks i got. Told me its always a bit hard to start. I just replied that i know nothing about them. 😂😎😂

850 Commando Electric Start - mate had one - and that always took a few pushes on the button as well to get started
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I had loads of kickstart dirt bikes, some of them were temperamental (Maico 400).

I've never owned a street bike with a kickstarter even as an option.  :whistling: Thank Goodness  :imrgreen:

Actually the one on the Kwaka W650 worked well.
But aside from occasional posing / confusing young people, most owners still use the electric boot because... anyone sane would. :)
