So in another case of "Damn I didn't have my camera"

This morning riding into work - young woman (20-ish?) in a Barina hatch. ( 999 YNU )

1. Changed lanes from right hand lane to left hand lane, without indicating and directly in front of me.
2. Did so in order to run the red light which was just before a school zone
3. Speeding through the school zone.

I then caught up with her at the next lights (or course) and saw her keep looking down.  So I filtered beside her and confirmed

4. Using a mobile phone while driving.

I tapped on her window and as she had window up and I couldn't speak to her I pointed at her phone and waggled my finger in a disapproving manner.  What she said next though I could hear THROUGH the window. Her vocabulary consisted of words beginning with F and with C.

Charming.

Offence 1.
Failing to give a proper left or right change of direction signal
Queensland Road Rules—Section 46(1) and Section 48(1)
2 points and $82 fine

Offence 2.
Failing to stop for a red traffic light or arrow
Queensland Road Rules—Section 56
3 points and $413 fine

Offence 3. (at my best estimate of her speed)
Driving at least 13 km/h, but not more than 20 km/h, over the speed limit
Queensland Road Rules—Section 20
3 points and $275 fine

Offence 4.
Driver of a vehicle using a mobile phone (other than in a parked vehicle)
Queensland Road Rules—Section 300(1)
4 points and $1,033 fine

So in the space of 60 seconds (if the police had been there)
Total potential penalty
FINES: $1,803
POINTS: 12

f you get 12 (or more) demerit points within a 3 year period on a Queensland open licence, you'll be sent an 'Accumulation of demerit points – notice to choose'.
* have your open licence suspended for a requisite period (in this case 3 months), or
* agree to continue driving under a period of good driving behaviour for 1 year.
(If you get 2 or more demerit points during the good driving behaviour period, your licence will be suspended for double the suspension period)

...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

That would be a Fine Chapess Col.
You should do your speeding and lane changing here in NZ Vlad......much cheaper  :onya:
Funny story....... we were in my old HK Monaro in Sydney, mate and a female friend in the back get pulled up because I failed to indicate a lane change. Then they start getting stuck into me..... what were my passengers trying to hide in the back. I don't know I'm driving. The cops look in the back, nothing "where is it, what did they hide" Then our lady friend steps up and says "we were trying to get decent, I was giving him a blow job"  Cops are like OK sir indicate lane changes in future please, on your way. Wish my mate had been driving !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Well I've only done 190 miles today coming back from visiting my parents.

Only had two I can recall, a div in a van who pulled out of a T-junction right in front of me even though I could see him clearly for ages.
The other was a moron who turned right from the left hand lane of a roundabout on a dual carriageway, something about his driving caught my attention so I'd held back & it was a non-issue. I've seen a biker taken out like that in the past & she was a mess though. That time I'd just got past with a wiggle as the car's wing headed for my ankle, the lass on the bike behind had nowhere to go. Oddly enough on the same trip home, but a different point in the journey.

I have noticed an increasing number of people who want to turn off the main road wait until the very last minute, jam on their brakes and indicate as they are turning  :jack:
When I learnt to drive it was indicate first, then apply the brakes, then turn, what's changed  :whatever:
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick
