E10 petrol

It seems that going by this product E10 isn't great for bikes standing over the winter.

Might be worth considering!

I won't use E10 ever  in any vehicle

If youd seen the rusted fuel rails etc ive seen, you wouldnt use it. A few litres in tank, use it all up, cleans out moisture from tank, a good tool for that use. Thats its only attribute. All your motors, carb type, bikes, mowers , outboards etc. 2 stroke or 4, should never let them sit with fuel in carbs, just leave them dry, no matter what fuel. Fuel will eat diaphraghms, viton needles etc. If left too long it glugs up,becomes acidic. Either blocks everything or eats it away.

We use E10 in the missus new Mazda it having been designed from the outset to use it.

I don't use E10 in the bike because it was never intended / built for that and there are as grog mentions good reasons to avoid E10.

I certainly don't use E10 in the Land Rover Defender because... it's a diesel.   


Interestingly years ago when E10 first started appearing, a mate had a V8 Discovery.  He asked the LR dealership if it is Ok and was told to check with fuel company. Which he did. They said it'll be OK.
It wasn't OK. Bad expensive things happened.
The fuel company disavowed all responsibility, naturally.
