Clutch switch and aftermarket levers

After a recent chat with a mate .
Some aftermarket clutch levers do not contact the microswitch properly.
So my solution is super glue a bit of old fuel pipe over the area shown in the pictures .
Don't use anything thicker and check you can hear the switch clicking when it works after all back together,or the bike will think it's working same as bypassing the actual switch, with all the problems that brings running different map and loss of bhp
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

Thats a good point Seth, and a good resolution. As a personal preference i`d tend to use Araldite as I have less faith in Superglue that yourself!  :onya:

I'm with you on the Araldite
But I only had superglue .
It seams work well enough on the rubber of the hose on metal . Well it has so far .
It's on standard modified levers on emmas bike .
As she has a short reach due to having girls hands lol
Other mod was a 7 way adjuster from an old 600 bandit lever .
The lever never touched the switch untill I fitted the rubber spacer .
I've found the same thing on aftermarket levers especially the cheaper ones .
only a slightly modified gsx1400
