I have just renewed the insurance on my 14 with MCE, £97 last year & £115 this year, quite surprised it went up as no claims etc and two SP30's dropped off my license

I had a shop around and could get fully comp cover for a little as £70 but with all the extras that MCE offer as standard, such as personal accident, legal cover, helmet & leather cover & breakdown cover (even though they will only recover you up to 20 miles as standard) the next closest quote was £160. MCE were also good to deal with on the phone

Cheers

Personally I wouldn't insure with MCE ever again. Terrible to deal with.

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

@gsxbarmy Just as an add on to your comment .
Are any companies good to deal with as I've been with many over the years (my smwirse experience was with Carol Nash) but they all seem to be much and much on the poor quality of service when dealing with them .
Anyone know if good companies to deal with in the UK ?
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too

Some are better than others for sure @seth and everyone will have love and hate experiences of the same company. Bemoto seems to be an up and coming name getting plenty of mentions as being good (being run by bikers), but I have no personal experience

Hooli

One good bit of brexit news regarding insurance

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-announces-plan-to-scrap-eu-law-ensuring-british-drivers-avoid-50-a-year-insurance-hike

So you won't need insurance to drive your mower, which will save us all from a price hike.

I've been with BeMoto for 4 or 5 years (since they started) and have found them to be very good but no idea how they are when there's a claim to be processed or paid out.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick
