Yes it's no problem sending it back, just the massive inconvenience of being stranded at the roadside.

Ordered a replacement hpfp from quantum on the weekend, will arrive next week from the US.  Will let you know how it goes.  During a two up ride on the weekend the bike was horrible at low revs, really snatch on the throttle etc.  Let's see how this goes.

I ordered the HFP382SH c/w new regulator and tank o ring seal.  Figured after 18y the original one can be retired.

Oops, thought i had replied/updated.

All good, 10000% better, snatchiness reduced considerably easier starting and runs well.

Rebuild was dead easy, you get a range of different teabag filters to go with it and just reuse the existing housing.

Now just chain and sprockets to go and will be golden.
