Didnt wear gloves working until a year ago. Not sure if you blokes do. My hands now just so clean, even feel strange if no gloves. Hardly any cuts or burns, thats after 40 plus years fixing cars. Mechanix are the best, $30, last forever. https://www.mechanix.com/au-en/the-original-work-gloves

They are bloody good, had a pair for years but ruined them with Mobil 1 gearbox oil recently, just couldn't get the stink out so piffed them in the bin, must get another pair

Yup, I wear the disposable black nitrile ones, or double up on blue latex examination gloves, keeps hands clean and great dexterity, no cuts either.  Might try those Mechanix ones though as they're washable apparently...thx for the tip.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Eric, much better than disposables, my hands sweat up in them. Wash up as new, i just use Morning Fresh, wash under warm tap. Morning Fresh a great product, a squirt in house window clean with vinegar, squirt in weed spray, wetting agent, will clean most bike parts, unreal in windscreen washers. great hand cleaner. Cleans , with water added, brake parts like new, doesnt dry like brake cleaner. Sorry, got lost on thread.

Im too old to wear gloves when spannering like to be able to feel what I am doing - however when Im spraying black nitrile gloves as the thinners and paint fairly fook your skin up

Been wearing leather riggers gloves for a while now, doesn't take much to knock a bit of bark off these days.
Must try some cyclists gloves as they are fingerless when doing g fiddly stuff. Don like the black latex gloves as hands get sweaty  but like Del says thinners ain't the best moisturiser so do wear when l have to.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

As grog says, those mechanix gloves seem to have defied the laws of physics and you don't lose the feel, I just need to up my clumsy game, or put some latex over them when doing my next gearbox oil change as the smell of that stuff just won't go away
