Rear sprocket removal problem

Hi All, I want to remove the rear sprocket and everything went well, dropped the brake calliper, removed the the spindle and dropped the wheel down and away from the bike. However, I can only get 4 of the retaining bolts off. The 5th one is stuck like it's welded to the sprocket. I have a very hefty wrench and it just won't budge. Soaking it in WD40 overnight but in the meantime wondered if anyone else had come across this problem and if so how did they overcome it.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Just used an impact gun to do mine, very tight coz you are undoing self locking nuts. Might respond to a mallet clattering a wrench? Good luck 🤞
Why didn't they topcoat my bike? K3 Primer

Try tightening it first, this breaks the seal between the threads and less likely to snap the bolt.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Just use a long 1/2 drive  rachet they should help especially if you hold the wheel so you press down on the rachet when trying to lose the nuts .

Thanks for the advice guys and tried all of those things and still no joy. Took it down to my local bike shop this morning (Bikehead in Haverhill) and Peter the owner removed it there and then for nothing in literally under a minute. What a difference it makes having the right tools.🤗

Also, just goes to show yet again how friendly and helpful bikers are to one another and what fantastic service most bike shops provide. So many have been lost over the years with the decline in motorcycle usage, it's very sad.

Great news Phil
I'd pop.back yo the shop when you can drop a packet of biscuits as a thank you .
It'll go a very long way going forward as it sounds like you have a good guy along the road from you .

Good on ya Phil. Thanking people for great service seems a thing of the past these days.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Agreed, we make a point of noting good customer service, (and pointing out when its bad). Had electricians at our place, put power to the shed. They went above and beyond, were on  time, did the job as agreed and cleaned up before they left.  So they got paid the same  day, and will be getting  recommendations from us and will  be getting them  back for future work.
