The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Wow I'm touched so many comments thanks guys means heaps. Bloke came today to buy some bike gear Heck in his 70's and going strong. Just goes to show its luck of the draw when bike days are up. As said not vanishing you always know when I post as normally complete crap or off topic hahahaha. Made some good friends on the org. Mind you when biking stopped lost quite a few hhhmmmmm no comment on that one..... If anyone ever in the cotswolds doors always open for a brew here.... Sorry to hear the chapter has closed for you.

Hopefully there is somrthing satisfying out there to fill the hole.

Take care.

Sad to hear, I hope you find something rewarding to fill the void.

I recently listened to a podcast interview with Andy McNab (ex SAS, the guy who wrote 'Bravo Two Zero'). He said they had a motto in the special forces - 'if you're breathing, you're winning'. Stuck in my mind, that did.

Fishy, not sure if i made this up, probably someone else but i like vertical against horizontal.

Taz, you gotta do what you gotta do friend, I very reluctantly gave up biking several years ago due to being scared shitless on a diesel covered bend, how I kept upright i'll never know, but that totally did it for me, being a fat old retired twat, I don't bounce or mend like a teenager, so decided to quit whilst still ahead!! Can you begin to imagine life after a tumble & doing damage well into retirement??

HOWEVER,  I like bikes don't I, so, I started buying wrecks & tarting them up, absolutely love it, the worse they are, the more I like em,
I don't profess to be good at it, but they look ok from 10 m away,  just enjoying, so if  your bikes are gone, why not turn your attentions to other interests, even things you know nothing about, all the info on stuff you can think of is out there in internet land, so go have a change of direction. :smile2:
I DO have to grow old, I DO NOT have to grow up.

Generally yes, but I'm quite fond of horizontal in the right circumstances.
